Job description/responsibilities

Kentucky Living, the Commonwealth’s oldest and largest magazine published by the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives and mailed monthly to 500,000 homes, has a rare opening for a managing editor. This position provides editorial assistance to write, edit, plan, research and produce magazine content on energy and general interest topics that celebrate the state’s unique culture and personalities. Works closely with editor and team of 10 graphic designers, advertising staff, and proofreader to deliver content for monthly magazine, website, social media, and other graphics projects that furthers the organizational goals of the publisher, KAEC. Manages business functions for production of magazine and graphics projects, and manages the creative team.

Communications Manager

University of Louisville Physicians
Position Location: Louisville

Job description/responsibilities

At the direction of the VP of Marketing and Communications, coordinates and manages UofL Physicians internal communications, community relations, employer relations and physician relation strategies. Coordinates and manages UofL Physicians, UofL and UH the strategies designed to increase referrals into the ULP system. Supports internal communication initiatives for both individual practices and administration departments. Leads departmental initiatives for community, physician and employer engagement. Engage external physicians though relationship development/physician liaison activities.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, writing or marketing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required in advertising, marketing, event planning and public relations.
  • Proven experience in project management, relationship development and management.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed upon project deadlines essential.
