Guthrie/Mayes Public Relations is searching for an assistant account manager with one- to two-years’ experience in public relations. The assistant account manager will help account managers with multiple accounts. This role is a mix of strategy, project management and administration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Clear, concise, and compelling writing appropriate to project needs

Effective and timely completion of action items for execution of projects/campaigns

Media relations (including pursuing story coverage through strategic and creative pitches)

Social media (including content development)

Research

Creation of media lists

Media and social media monitoring

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education *
Job Requirements:

One-to two-years’ experience in a public relations field preferred

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or other-related field

Strong writing and communications skills

Sharp attention to detail

Ability to handle competing priorities

Self-driven to execute tasks to meet deadlines

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below, and be able to work in the described environment
Develop/ create digital media content in various forms
Partner with internal and external content creators, editors, designers, and developers to ensure that content meets organizational needs, and is aligned with brand, quality, legal, and technical standards
Manage and coordinate digital activity across the various disciplines such as PPC, SEO, Affiliates, Social, Analytics, Display
Facilitate other forms of electronic communication, such as email marketing and social media
Light coding to develop, modify, and implement user interface for small to large-scale web sites and applications
Educate Stakeholders in the use of interactive technologies
Troubleshoot issues with existing or developed systems and work with appropriate resources to resolve
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis
Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment
Other special projects and duties, as assigned

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education *
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent related work experience.
Minimum of three (3) years related experience; managing web content and graphic design preferred.
Excellent knowledge of the digital landscape
Strong user understanding and demonstrated expertise in web content, usability, architecture, development and design
Proficient in Adobe Creative Studio
Working knowledge of mobile platforms including iOS and Android
Ability to perform work in both Mac and Windows environments.
Working knowledge of these web development technologies:
HTML
CSS
Fundamental knowledge of these web development technologies and database platforms:
Flash
ASP.NET
MS SQL
MySQL
Experience working with the following preferred:
Wordpress
PHP
Ruby on Rails
JavaScript framework jQuery
Model-view-controller methodology
Third party APIs integration
Enterprise-level content management systems
Apache and RedHat Linux servers
IIS and Windows servers
Videography and video editing experience preferred.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.
Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
