Screen shot 2015-04-09 at 4.27.29 PM

Flash back 10 years. It’s Friday night. Another long work week is finished. Did you have a bourbon drink in your hands? If you didn’t then, you probably do now.

As a Kentuckiana resident, you are aware that the whiskey industry is experiencing exponential growth.

A huge part of the bourbon boom is tourism, which why we invited Gathan Borden to our April 23 luncheon. Borden is the Director of Brand Marketing and Advertising for the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau.

He’s tasked with promoting Bourbon Country and The Urban Bourbon Trail. Learn how Borden and his staff uses digital communication to help grow awareness of bourbon-related activities and events.

Attendees also will have the chance to win a LCVB Bourbon Country gift basket – full of local merchandise.

How UPS Won Back Its Reputation

2

How important is your organization’s reputation? And when something goes wrong, how do you regain trust?

The peak holiday shipping season is the busiest time of year for UPS. But in 2013, the shipping giant was in a tough situation. An unprecedented last-minute surge of e-commerce orders challenged systems everywhere in the shipping industry.

One of the places affected was Louisville, home to UPS’s airline and Worldport, the company’s main air hub. Throughout 2014, while UPS’s engineers worked to reinvent processes, systems and infrastructure, the company’s communications team was charged with rebuilding trust and confidence among employees, shippers and the public.

Our speakers are Mike Mangeot, public relations manager and Jim Obst, employee communications manager for UPS Airlines. Join us for a study in reputation management, and learn how Big Brown came roaring back during the 2014 holiday season.
