January Meeting: There is No Fresh Broccoli

How do I drive more engagement? How do I measure ROI? How do I get more Likes? Who should manage all this? How can we check this box and move on to the next item on our list?

We’re asking the same questions about digital marketing and social media we asked five years ago. Why? This isn’t rocket surgery! In his trademark, No B.S. style, industry pundit Jason Falls’s talk will help you understand the six core competencies and activities everyone needs to be successful at marketing their business or themselves online. He’ll also explain what fresh broccoli has to do with today’s digital marketing landscape.

Jason Falls is the no-nonsense, loud, brash, straight-shooter who is more apt to tell you the truth about digital marketing, public relations and social media than try to sell you something. Sure, he drives strategy and content for clients through his work with Elasticity, but when Falls talks, people listen. And posers get scared. Unabashed, unafraid and unfiltered, Falls leaves audiences thinking, laughing and wanting more.

Jason is sure to provide an entertaining, enlightening session. We hope you’ll be able to join us.

You’re Invited to the 32nd Annual Landmarks of Excellence Awards!

Join us Tuesday, Oct. 21, for a night to remember as Louisville’s marketing communications and public relations professionals roll out to honor their best work.

This year’s ceremony promises to garner attention with a new, never-before-used venue (for Landmarks, anyway), The Marcus Lindsey, NuLu’s best-kept secret for special events, located at 801 E. Main St., Louisville.

The festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail and networking hour featuring bourbon tasting provided by Four Roses Distillery and heavy hors d’oeuvres from Wiltshire Pantry. Ambiance will be provided by the piano stylings of John Bizianes.

This year’s Communicator of the Year, cancer survivor and advocate Jill Conley, will be inducted at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for IABC and PRSA members are $45, while non-members’ tickets are $50 and students gain admission for just $25.

RSVP for this event by Oct. 13!
